In this Sunday deep-dive, we will cover the tristana method: a tool to help cultivate the ultimate presence of mind, focus, and stability. Tristana consists of three parts: Ujjayi breath (victorious breath), the bandhas (energy locks), and drsti (yogic gaze).
After exploring the tristana theory, there will be a led intermediate vinyasa class with hands on adjustments that integrates the tristana method, followed by a sound healing meditation.
This is an introduction to a very effective and deeply personal method that guides the practitioner into a more meditative state which can evolve with you and your practice. Tristana can be easily implemented both into a strong, dynamic flow and a calm, restorative practice. It takes time to master all three aspects in any asana - for most, a lifetime. Come with an open mind and a willingness to explore your body, breath and mind.
We will finish with a grounding and relaxing meditation to the healing sounds of a Tibetan Full Moon singing bowl.
