At Glød Yoga Retreats we aspire to create the ultimate getaway experience. Our retreat is designed to reset your nervous system, make new friends, explore the magical island of Bali and clarify the next chapter of your life. You will leave this retreat feeling rejuvenated, rested and energized. We start every morning with an energizing vinyasa flow and journaling exercise, and end each day with a calming meditation, yin yoga, yoga nidra or sound healing. Our balinese cultural experiences is included, and you can join us and visit the 1,000 year old Uluwatu Temple, visit the monkeys and watch the traditional Kecak fire dance in the stunning bali sunset. Let’s enjoy chilled coconuts on the beach, watch the sunset and have dinner at our favorite Uluwatu restaurants. All meals are included, and you can expect a variety of nourishing meals every day.
Our newly built, stunning private retreat venue offer a unique experience in beautiful accomodation. This is our exclusive retreat, and we have the whole place to ourselves. Enjoy the rooftop shala, indoor (with AC) shala, private pool, sauna, ice-bath and in-house spa <3 We included a massage to make sure you can truly relax. Our retreat is located 10 minutes from the nearest beach. Walking is not always easy in Bali, so we will set up free shuttle for you to use to and from the beach. Check out the dreamy Nyang Nyang Beach, Melasti Beach and Dreamland Beach - or simply relax by our pool.

Our private retreat center is located just a 10 minute walk from the beach, but you don’t need to leave to have a good time. We have a spacious lounge, a pool, a sauna and an ice-bath. An hour massage in our in-house spa is included in the retreat price. This beautiful retreat villa has two yogashala’s: one open-aired on the roof (with ceiling) and one indoors with AC. You can choose your accomodation: private room, double room or quad room.

Tora Årberg
Founder and creator of Glød Yoga AS
Tora is the owner the 500sqm yoga studio in Frogner in Oslo and is the host of two annual yoga retreats to Bali. She has developed her own clothing line, professional yogamats and equipment under the Glød Yoga brand, and is continuing to build and develop her business.
She is certified in Vinyasa Yoga & Ayurveda, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Restorative Yoga, Pre-natal Yoga and Sound Healing. She has a bachelors degree in economics and a masters degree in International Business from Singapore. Tora is the mother of her baby, Little Liv. She loves nurturing her baby, creating her business and developing herself as a facilitator, teacher and student.
Tora creates retreats with passion, focusing on the individual experience. She will invite another talented teacher to share wisdom with you on the retreat.

Anyone looking to dive deep into their own yoga practice and self-reflection. This retreat is a combination of relaxing, activities, exploring the island of Bali and spending time with like-minded people. This retreat is suitable for ages 20-70.
More than 50% of attendees are traveling solo. The group will be mostly women, but men are also welcome! Some are traveling with a friend or family member, others with a loved one - but the majority are traveling alone. We will have plenty of time to get to know each other, and we can’t wait to meet all of you!

No, every participant must see to book their own transportation (airfare).
A return ticket to Bali from Norway is about 10.000kr

You will fly into Denpasar to the Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Some like to arrive in Bali a few days a head, and some like to stay a few days extra, others are only traveling for the retreat. First, you have to decide which dates you would like to travel.
Our best advice on finding the best tickets is to use search engines, such as momondo.com, to find the best and cheapest tickets. But, we recommend that you buy the tickets directly from the airline. Airlines will help you if your luggage is lost or your filght is delayed - thirdparty search engines will not.
The retreat is starting around 6pm on Sunday night, and is finished after breakfast (11.00) saturday morning. So make sure you are in Bali that time so you don’t miss anything.

You can take a taxi, or ask us to arrange transportation. Our retreat center is about an hour drive from the airport.
We recommend ordering transportation with us. The airport in Bali si filled with taxis and it can be hard to know who to trust. After a long trip it nice to be greeted by someone who knows your name and knows where you’re going. Just look out for the sign with your name on it :)

October is considered “dry-season” in Bali, with comfortable and dry weather. It's still hot although the rain picks up a little as the month goes on. The average temperature is 27°C with lows of 23°C and highs of 31°.

Normally, two participants will be sharing a room. Each room can have two single beds (90x200) or one double bed (180x200). You can also choose private room or quad room (4 beds).

Rooms at the retreat site will be shared and will be two people per room, and each person will have their own bed. If you are traveling with a friend, partner og family member, we will put you in the same room. Please see prices for single occupancy, twin rooms and quad rooms.

Yes, we will separate men and women in the lodging arrangements. Unless you ask us to be in the same room.

Yoga sessions cater to all ranges of experiences, so be sure to give it a try! Yoga sessions are held daily, so there will be plenty of time to become familiar with the practices. Our teachers will give options for every level.

Yes, getting a visa is easy and you can purchase a VOA (Visa On Arrival) after you land in Bali and make your way through the Airport Process (for passport holders from Scandinavia, Australia, etc).
You can also purchase your VOA online before departure, and save time on the airport (E-VoA).

Free, stable and high-speed WiFi is provided. However, due to our remote location, the signal can be temperamental in a developing country.

Visa to Indonesia (approx. 500kr). If you hold a Scandinavian passport you are eligible to receive a Visa on Arrival (pay at the airport).

Transportation from Denpasar Airport to our retreat center, Uluwatu. Ask us if you want to be picked up at airport.

This retreat has a limited number of spots, to ensure an intimate and private atmosphere.
70% of attendees are traveling solo. The group will be mostly women, but men are also welcome. Some are traveling with a friend or family member, others with a loved one - but the majority are traveling alone. We will have plenty of time to get to know each other, and we can’t wait to meet all of you!

To book, you pay 1.000kr as a non-refundable deposit. This can be done by vipps or on the booking site.
Soon after your booking you’ll find an invoice on the remaining amount in your inbox.If you need to split the payment, just ask us and we’ll find a solution.

It depends on your health and how far you are in your pregnancy. The yoga classes, meals and stay are suitable for pregnant women. Our yoga instructs know how to adjust poses for pregnancy. And if you feel tired, you are welcome to skip any of the classes.
Keep in mind that the flight is long, and some airlines refuse pregnant women to board, when it’s less than 4 weeks until the baby is expected.
Please be aware that Zika mosquito can be found in Bali, although very rarely.If you have an uncomplicated pregnancy and are feeling healthy, the yoga retreat is perfectly safe for you to attend. If you are less than 2 months from your due date, we recommend staying at home.
